Hello!

Welcome!  Thank you for visiting my portfolio.

I'm Jennifer Martinez, an Instructional Designer and Developer with a passion for crafting learning experiences that actually make a difference.

With over two years of hands-on corporate instructional design experience, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and more than a decade of experience in education, I bring both depth and versatility to every project I touch. As a Lead Instructional Designer, I’ve built solutions that not only check the boxes, but also drive engagement and performance. I’m fluent in adult learning theory, training analysis, instructional design models, and the art of aligning content with real-world impact.

Now, I’m looking ahead to my next chapter. If you're looking for someone who can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling learning experiences, I’d love to connect.

Let’s create something meaningful together.

About Me

After spending a decade as a High School Math Teacher, I made the leap into Instructional Design and I couldn’t be more grateful for the transition. While the two fields may seem different at first glance, I quickly noticed the parallels in instructional strategies, assessment design, and learner engagement. The problem-solving mindset that drew me to teaching math is the same one that makes Instructional Design such a perfect fit for me. That passion for solving learning challenges is what led me to becoming a Lead Instructional Designer just three months into my first role.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with family near and far, rewatching The Office for the hundredth time, tackling escape rooms, playing with Lego, or just enjoying great food and great music with great people.
